A letter from Jason, our CEO

February 27, 2026

To our neighbours and friends across Kandos, Charbon, Clandulla and Rylstone,

Over recent months, we have had the privilege of spending time in your community and learning more about what makes this community so unique. In this time, one thing that has stood out to us above all else is the incredible community spirit.

So many of the organisations that bring life to community are powered not by large budgets or paid staff, but by dedicated volunteers, giving their all simply because they care and believe in their community. That commitment is inspiring, and it deserves recognition and support.

As a company hoping to become part of the long-term future of this community, we believe it is important to contribute where we can, not just through long-term investment and employment, but through practical support for the people and organisations that already make this community strong and proud in spirit.

Cenagen has recently provided support to several local organisations and events, including:

  • Kandos Community Charity Shop;
  • Kandos District Tiaratahs;
  • Kandos High School;
  • Kandos Museum;
  • Kandos Public School;
  • Kandos Rylstone Swimming Club;
  • Kandos Street Machine & Hot Rod Show;
  • Rylstone Kandos Family Fun Day; and
  • Rylstone Kandos Show.

These organisations represent the heart of the community. Many of which are run entirely by volunteers who give countless hours of their time selflessly organising community events, preserving local history, supporting families, assisting young people, and keeping traditions alive. We are particularly proud to support our local students, and it is our intention to extend this support to additional local schools in the very near future.

We recognise the importance that each of these organisations and events play, and we are proud to play a small part in supporting their efforts. Our support is offered not for recognition, but out of appreciation for the people who sustain the social fabric of the community.

As our project progresses, we look forward to continuing to listen, engage, and contribute in meaningful ways. Our intention is simple: to contribute positively to the community we hope to call home.

We are thankful for the welcome many in the community have already extended to us, and we look forward to continuing to be a part of this wonderful community.

With respect,

JASON O’SULLIVAN
